Found a neat GPL'd game today while reading Download Squad. It's called Frets On Fire and basically it is a free, open-source version of Guitar Hero for your computer. There are both Windows and Linux versions available. In fact, I've mirrored the Windows version here for people that want it.

Yep, I won the Heisman Trophy today with my quarterback from the University of Miami while playing in dynasty mode in the new NCAA 2007 game. Overall it's a pretty solid title. The graphics are well done, although not spectacular, the recruiting process is good, and most aspects of the college game are covered. I find it's a bit too difficult to run and a bit to easy to pass for big yards, but that could be just because I'm prone to pass more anyway. I think I only had two games with a 100 yard rusher. I guess I'll give it say 4 out of 5 stars. One of the things I'm looking forward to is using my college players in Madden when it comes out and I draft them.
