This and my other blogs have all been updated to the latest version of Wordpress, which now stands at 2.3. The biggest change is that tagging is now built into the core instead of requiring a plugin. It flawlessly imported all of my tags from Ultimate Tag Warrior (UTW) which I used previously. There are some issues with the new system such as no built-in method of managing your tags once used. However, there are already some additional plugins that handle this.
Now comes the fun part of making everything work smoothly again. This is from my backups, my blogging tool of choice (ecto), file uploads, the themes, etc.... It's not as bad as I had originally thought but it's still not something that I enjoy.
So I hope that everybody that is available is planning on playing in the blogger big game tonight.
Miami Don has one again taken the time to set up a slightly larger buyin event for all of the degenerate writers out there. This one is special as it's included on the schedule for the
Battle of the Blogger Tournaments series. You can see the
current leaderboard over at Al's page. I've only played in one of the events so far and of course donked out early. In blogger events I tend to either final table or be one of the first ones out. I think that I have a hard time adjusting my game to actually take into account when people might be doing some level 3 or 4 thinking. For those not in the know, here are the details for tonight's event:
Tournament: Blogger Big Game
Where: Full Tilt Poker
When: Sunday, April 15th. 9:30pm ET
Buyin: $69+6 or token
Password: donkey
Well after I went and deleted my database, I've not gotten at least some of the archives back and decided that maybe I should try and start keeping up with this thing again. Especially in light of my recent results. So tonight I am in the FTOPs main event on FullTilt. It is my 3rd FTOPs event this time around, with one cash (Event #1 NLHE), one early exit (Event #3 NLHE), and one top 1/3 finish (Event #6 NLHE Rebuy). I also bubbled at the final table in sats trying to get a seat in the 6max and HA tournaments.
I will be attempting to live-blog tonight as much as possible and we'll see how things go. I've been on a good run lately and playing really solid poker. In fact if I wasn't on the downside of variance right now I'd be claiming that the first two months of this year were better than all of 2006, my best year ever in poker. I will detail more of my recent results later on. Hope to hear from all of you!

Tonight is the first event of the 2007 Season of the World Poker Blogger Tour. While my posts are few and far between, I am a voracious reader of many of the fine blogger publications out there. I also hang out in the
IRC chatroom probably far too much. If you haven't signed up already, then you need to! The party starts at 9pm EST on FullTilt and the format this time around is deep-stack no-limit hold'em. Step up, get in the money, and get your name on the leaderboard.
