Now THAT’S How You Hit Somebody
I just have to say that this is a vicious hit, and yes, it was a little unnecessary. However, it certainly sends a message, don’t you think?

Make sure to either tune into the Versus (VS.) network tonight or head to your favorite local watering hole that has a hockey package to watch as the Caps take on the Philadelphia Flyers. Go Caps!
Tomorrow night I’ll be heading downtown to the Verizon Center to watch the Washington Capitals take on the Florida Panthers in their next-to-last game of the regular NHL season. I haven’t checked the score of the Carolina Hurricanes’ game tonight yet so the Caps are either tied for the division lead, one point behind, or two points behind.
It’s looking very good for the Caps to make the playoffs if they can win these last two games. They are one of the hottest teams in the NHL and since their new coach took over about 1/4th of the way through the season, they have one of the league’s best records.
The game should be a sellout and the place should be rockin. I can’t wait!
This weekend I’ll be heading up to my old stomping grounds in PA for a much-needed ski getaway. I haven’t been to Ski Roundtop since 1992 or 1993. That’s a heck of a long time considering how much time that I spent there back in my high school days. I also haven’t been on skis probably since 1999 when I was working at the ski slopes up at Snoqualmie Falls in WA.
I’m sure that I will probably end up being very sore come Monday once I’m back home but it will be so worth it to actually glide down the snow again. The only downside is that it’s supposed fairly nice Monday and with me being off work it would be nice to get a round of golf in. Now THAT would be a fun-filled weekend!
I’ll post pictures when I get home.
