Chris Pirillo has a great post in which he’s trying to compare the service / revenue / hits of the three top video hosting sites. Those being YouTube, Google Video, and Revver. I am posting the videos here as well. What you want to do is ensure that you have all three videos on your screen at the same time. Then click play on in each in order from top to bottom quickly. As long as you have a fairly speedy internet connection, you should see a hilarious video tie-in.
Go Steelers!
It’s a game that could go a long way in determining which direction the team is going to go for the rest of the year. Win against the Ravens, the 2nd best record in the AFC, and the slim playoff hopes are still alive. Lose and they just start thinking about the draft and next year. It has been a long time since the Steelers might pack it in this early in a season so let’s just hope they beat those purple mofos from Baltimore!

For some reason I am really in the mood for a good dessert tonight. Any suggestions?

Late for work
It sucks when you’re working weird days and forget to set your alarm clock. I was supposed to be at work 30 mins ago. Instead, I’m just getting dressed after showering. On the plus side, there’s really no work to do, my real bosses aren’t there, and I’ll be stopping at Starbucks on the way in!

Mmmmm wine
Today for the first time in my life I drank an entire bottle of wine by myself. Actually I had started with beer, and then did a wine tasting, and THEN drank a bottle of the good stuff. It’s a Riesling that goes by the name Clean Slate. I loved it! Of course I didn’t bother to figure out what winery it was from as Zen has it on tap anyway. So now I’m just checking up on email before I head off to bed. Tomorrow morning I have to hit the road relatively early to head to PA to see some of the family for Turkey Day. I’ll be back in the area tomorrow night and then will be going out probably both Friday and Saturday nights just to be spiteful.

Picking out clothes sucks
Man, it’s harder to pick out clothes for work than it is for dates! Today we have a ‘dress-down’ day at work. Now I know that for some of you this means that you get to wear shorts or jeans or something. For somebody that wears a uniform every day, it means that you can dress-down to what? Business casual! Woohoo it’s time to celebrate I tell you what. So when some of your slacks don’t fit because they’re like 8 years old and the ones that do fit all need ironed it kinda sucks. Especially when most of the stuff you have is too ‘trendy’ for work. So I went for black Docker type pants with an olive turtleneck that has a thin black strip running horizontally. Maybe I’ll take a picture. Or maybe not. Either way, I’m off to work!

Almost Holiday Time!
This should be an interesting next 5 1/2 weeks. I will be working very minimally. Half day tomorrow, off Thanksgiving, probably a half day Friday and then I’ll work a full day Saturday. However both Friday and Saturday there won’t be much real work to do so I’ll mostly be doing database housekeeping duties and going over some of our weekend products with our newest hire. He’ll be covering the weekends on his own while I’m on leave from Dec 1-18th.
I can’t wait to have a nice long time off. I really need it after the hassles at work lately and the struggles that have happened in my personal life as well. I plan on spending my time in Florida just relaxing and reading mostly. Actually come to think of it I’ll probably take my little mac mini with me since I don’t have a working laptop. Just to continue to refine my overall computing experience and work out the last kinks. When I come home my time is going to be dedicated to cleaning up and organizing my life. My space really needs a through cleaning and I’m going to have to get rid of some old clothes, organize some additional stuff from the house, etc… My evenings will be spend either out meeting new people or playing WoW. Probably on alternating nights so that I can recover!
Once I head back to work we’ll be working a day on – day off schedule for two weeks so overall I’ll work less than a full week the entire month of December. I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle things fresh.
