The picture below was taken this past spring while on a run with some coworkers during a weekend shift. We would do this every once in awhile, meeting up at the Iwo Jima memorial and then running into Georgetown. It’s an interesting and ejoyable run that’s not too far. It’s posted by using a newer photo service called Zooomer that is trying to compete with Flickr by adding more features and free photo hosting for bloggers. The site interests me as I like some of the additional features and my Flickr Pro account doesn’t last all that much longer.

Yep, that’s right. When Becky and I went to the pocono mountains during a mini-vacation over the 4th of July I decided to drag her out to the links with me. She was a trooper and although was challenged just to hit the ball, overall did much better than expected. It was a very fun time. She decided to take an action shot and it came out pretty well I think?

Heisman Trophy

Yep, I won the Heisman Trophy today with my quarterback from the University of Miami while playing in dynasty mode in the new NCAA 2007 game. Overall it’s a pretty solid title. The graphics are well done, although not spectacular, the recruiting process is good, and most aspects of the college game are covered. I find it’s a bit too difficult to run and a bit to easy to pass for big yards, but that could be just because I’m prone to pass more anyway. I think I only had two games with a 100 yard rusher. I guess I’ll give it say 4 out of 5 stars. One of the things I’m looking forward to is using my college players in Madden when it comes out and I draft them.

Stuck at Home

Well I had to do some work this weekend so I won’t be heading up to Delaware. I’ll admit that it’ll be nice not to drive but I’m so used to being there it’s kind of weird. So during my off time I’m going to take this opportunity to clean, throw my bedsheets in the wash, and probably play some Xbox 360.

Becky, I know you’ll see this. Sorry that I’m not there to cut the back yard!!!

Apparently addictive personalities will seemingly find any reason to take something enjoyable too far. I play video games, drink, play poker, and a host of other things that are apparently ‘addictive’ and yet I am able to lead a normal life. It’s interesting to see how just about any leisure activity can become addictive to certain people. I ran accross this at Engadget:

If you’re worried your World of Warcraft habit might be getting a little out of hand, you might think about checking yourself into the Wild Horses Center in Amsterdam. Their video game rehab program, which was started by addiction specialists Smith and Jones, is designed to help you replace the excitement of the fantasy world with real world experiences such as therapy sessions and group interaction.

I’m starting to fell much more like the geek of old as I’m starting to get back involved in this and other web sites again. I had started to forget just how much fun it was to get lost in passing ours of looking at code or tweaking something to look just right to your eye. So anyway, I am starting to put things back into place around here and adding things to make it more like home. So keep your eyes peeled and if you actually happen to stop by please leave a comment and let me know!
